LIGHTING PRODUCT WARRANTY

1-Year Limited Warranty

At Canford Electrical, we are committed to supplying quality lighting products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions.

This Return & Exchange Policy applies only to goods purchased directly from Canford Electrical. Products purchased from other retailers, distributors, or resellers are not eligible for return or exchange under this policy.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

All lighting products supplied by Canford Electrical are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, Canford Electrical will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product;
  • Replace the defective product with the same or an equivalent model; or
  • Provide another suitable remedy where appropriate.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To submit a warranty claim, customers must:

  1. Provide the original Canford Electrical invoice or proof of purchase.
  2. Contact Canford Electrical before returning any product.
  3. Return the product for inspection if requested.
  4. Allow reasonable time for product assessment.

Warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by Canford Electrical.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Canford Electrical's liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective product.

Canford Electrical shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, project delays, or costs associated with removal and reinstallation.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:

Installation & Electrical Issues

  • Incorrect installation, wiring, or failure to follow installation instructions.
  • Installation by unqualified personnel where applicable.
  • Incorrect supply voltage, electrical surges, lightning strikes, unstable power supply, or power fluctuations.
  • Use with incompatible drivers, transformers, dimmers, controllers, or accessories not approved for the product.

Misuse & Physical Damage

  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, accidental damage, impact, or vandalism.
  • Unauthorised modifications, repairs, dismantling, or alterations.
  • Damage caused during transportation, improper handling, or storage after delivery or collection.
  • Use outside the product's intended purpose or operating conditions.

Environmental Factors

  • Water ingress due to improper installation or installation beyond the product's specified IP rating.
  • Exposure to excessive moisture, corrosive environments, chemicals, salt air, excessive heat, or other unsuitable environmental conditions.
  • Fire, flood, lightning, earthquakes, storms, or other events beyond Canford Electrical's reasonable control.

Normal Wear & Appearance

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic defects that do not affect product performance, including minor scratches, surface marks, paint deterioration, fading or discoloration, and oxidation or corrosion due to environmental exposure.

LED Characteristics

The following are considered normal characteristics of LED products and are not manufacturing defects:

  • Minor variations in colour temperature.
  • Minor differences in brightness or lumen output.
  • Gradual reduction in light output over time.
  • Variations in natural materials such as glass, wood, concrete, marble-effect, or hand-finished surfaces.

Additional Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Labour charges.
  • Installation or reinstallation costs.
  • Transportation or delivery charges.
  • Rental of lifting equipment, scaffolding, or access equipment.
  • Any consequential, indirect, or incidental losses.
  • Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers or identification labels.
  • Products that have not been fully paid for.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • This warranty is valid only when the product has been used under normal operating conditions and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Warranty coverage does not extend beyond the original warranty period following any replacement product.
  • Canford Electrical reserves the right to inspect all products before approving any warranty claim.
  • Canford Electrical reserves the right to amend this warranty policy without prior notice.
